Community Eye Health Journal is published by the International Centre for Eye Health (ICEH) in printed format, electronically on CD-ROM and the Internet, and in regional and translated formats. Journal articles and the other information on this web site are licensed for general distribution under the non-commercial Creative Commons License which permits unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium for non-profit purposes, provided the original work is properly cited.
Third party permissions
Community Eye Health Journal articles (including the text, images, and photographs) may be reviewed, reproduced or translated for non-profit purposes without obtaining prior permission. Acknowledgements should be made to the Community Eye Health Journal and to any specified authors or photographers.
The Community Eye Health Journal normally grants permission to organisations wishing to reproduce excerpts of content or photographs for profit-making purposes, with the following constraints:

the content excerpt or photograph shall not be used in other publications without obtaining permission again (no further charge will be made)

due acknowledgement shall be made to the author(s) or photographer(s) and to the Community Eye Health Journal as copyright owner

a donation shall be made towards the Community Eye Health Journal's work to eliminate unnecessary blindness in low income countries.

Copyright for authors
Unless otherwise specified, authors share the copyright for their article (including the text, images, and photographs) with the Community Eye Health Journal. Authors must always be attributed alongside the Community Eye Health Journal when articles are quoted or re-used. Authors may use their own articles for profit or non-profit purposes without asking permission from the journal. Acknowledgement should be given to the journal along with a web link, where appropriate.
