New manual on low vision care in Africa
The Kiliminjaro Centre for Community Ophthalmology has just published an excellent, practical resource on low vision service provision at hospitals, training schools, and other settings in Africa.
Low Vision Care in Africa: Practical Approaches to Clinical Services, Educational Engagement and Planning aims to provide the knowledge and skills to eye care providers and planners looking to implement low vision care within an overall VISION 2020 programme. While the focus is primarily on children, the manual can also assist programmes to manage the low vision needs of adults.
