You can use the following boolean operators and wildcards with this search:

And (+), not (-) and or (OR)

Use + in front of each word or a quoted phrase that you require and - in front of each word that you want to exclude. Use OR to search for pages that contain either word. For example:

• +instruments +care returns pages containing instruments and care

• +instruments -care returns pages containing instruments only.

• cataract OR glaucoma returns pages containing cataract plus pages containing glaucoma.

Asterisk (*) and question mark (?)

Use * to search for additional endings on words. Use ? to search for single letter additional endings. For example:

• car* returns pages containing car or cars or carpool or careful etc.

• car? returns pages containing car or cars or carp or care etc.
