Leadership workshop for VISION 2020 programmes in rural Africa, Cape Town

Objectives:

• To provide lead ophthalmologists with additional skills necessary to help them effectively negotiate/advocate with hospital and regional health personnel for increased support for eye care and to advocate with national level officials to adopt best practices for V2020 throughout the country.
• To provide the participants with the skills to start linking their programmes with nearby programmes to expand the adoption of best practices in V2020 implementation.
• To provide the participants with improved teamwork building skills to strengthen the ability of their teams to work effectively and efficiently.

Target audience: Ophthalmologists leading VISION 2020 programmes.
