Educational barriers and enablers for children with disabilities in Nepal
Include us in education!
A qualitative research study in Nepal finds that that many children with disabilities are not attending, progressing through or completing school due to a number of, often complex, barriers. The research highlights the negative psychosocial impact on the children of dropping out of school and finds that even in extremely challenging circumstances, most children want the opportunity to learn, to attend school and to be included with their peers.
