Cataract challenge
In order to reduce the cataract backlog it is necessary to have a cataract surgical rate which is at least as great as the incidence of ‘operable’ cataract. It is possible to achieve these rates if good quality cataract surgery is performed at a reasonable cost, close to where people live.
